A beautiful day ended with a tragic accident that occurred on Saturday,
September 18th at approximately 3:00 in the afternoon on Interstate Highway 87
northbound between Woodbury and Newburgh. A van carrying 14 passengers flipped
over, killing 6 and leaving others severely injured. September 18, 2010.
It took five medical helicopters and an assortment of other emergency
vehicles to transport the survivors of a fatal car accident that killed six,
(seven, one member died the next day), of 14 parishioners from the Joy
Fellowship Christian Assemblies church from the Bronx, on September 18, 2010.
